Welcome to the 1967 50th Class Reunion

September 22 & 23, 2017

The Fort Wayne Bible College Class of 1967 returned to campus in record fashion for Reunion Weekend.

The class came to Mix & Mingle and then had dinner together. They talked, laughed, and cried with each other just as they did when they were students, but perhaps now at a deeper level. Led by their Chaplain John Motter g67, they prayed for each other.

The class enjoyed breakfast together in Ramseyer Retreat Center. A video, produced by Dr. Jay Platte g69, brought many special memories of moments and people from their time at FWBC. Michael Mortensen g91, Director of Fort Wayne Alumni & Friend Relations, gave a brief update on the Fort Wayne Alumni Center.

Jay then presented the class with their 50th Class Memory booklets, a keepsake that includes pictures of important events, dates, and people. Michael gave replicas of various campus buildings and even made available hymn racks rescued from Founder’s Auditorium. Michael then ended the short program by presenting servant towels to each class member, following a tradition at Taylor of presenting each graduate since 1983 with a servant’s towel. The towel serves as a reminder of the mission to develop servant leaders marked with a passion to minister Christ’s redemptive love and truth to a world in need.

The class then assimilated into the rest of the Reunion Weekend activities.

Special thanks to Sharon (Walter) Hull g67, who pulled together the largest 50th class reunion in the past eight years.
