Palm Sunday

Matthew 21:10
In the early days of rock ‘n roll there were songs that had shaking lyrics. Elvis Presley shook up many when he sang “Shake, Rattle and Roll” and made the older generation nervous when he did “All Shook Up.” However, his arrival was mild compared to the shaking entrance of Jesus on Palm Sunday. For Matthew uses earthquake language to state in chapter 21:10 that “All the city was moved.” When the Lord made his grand entrance the whole city trembled for something significant was occurring. This was no ordinary parade, for the King of all history was giving us a prelude of even greater events to come.
If Jesus has been allowed to ride into your life then you also know what real shaking is all about, for he causes some to shake in fear, or shake in awe and respect, or even to shake from the thrill of it all. My prayer is that you know the excitement of being moved by His Divine Presence.
