Dr. Ken Mays g60 recorded 11 hymn settings at the FW Alumni Center, January 7 & 8, 2014 with the Steinway piano that was in Ira Gerig’s studio at which so many students sat for lessons. Dr. Jay Platte was recording engineer. The CD album Tribute-To God Be The Glory is dedicated to his mentors while at Fort Wayne Bible College, Drs. René Frank and Ira Gerig.

Assisting him in playing duets or in singing were graduates of FWBC, Pam (Witmer) Pierson g92, Susi (Laymon) Jones g71, Marlene (Sholl) Embry g69, Phyllis (Mays) Bush g67 and Dr. Jay Platte g69.

Most of the songs are preceded with a passage of scripture focusing the listener to the context of the song:

Ps. 57:5; To God Be the Glory; Isa 6:1-3; Holy, Holy, Holy (duet-Jay Platte); Ps. 62:5-7; My Hope is Built; The Church’s One Foundation; II Tim. 1:12; Blessed Assurance; Peace Medley (duet-Phyllis Mays Bush); Eph 2:4 & 5; O, The Deep, Deep Love of Jesus; Jesus, Lover of My Soul; Rom. 12:1; When I Survey the Wondrous Cross (Trio); Spirit of God, Descend Upon My Heart; Be Thou My Vision (solo-Pam Pierson)

Dr. Mays has given his time, talent and energy in serving the Lord in teaching and performing for 50 years. His desire to give the Lord the glory is evident as you talk with him. Several selections are also linked to experiences with his dear wife of 32 years, now with the Lord.

This CD is available by contacting him directly. His previous recording, Reflections and Praise is also available.
